Founder & Consultant Solicitor
Linda George MSc BA (Hons) DipLP NP
Linda has worked in the legal sector for fifty years, steadily building her reputation as a tenacious solicitor who achieves the best possible results for her clients and their families. She founded her own firm some twenty-five years ago after recognising that her professional focus lay in children, families, and the impact of the legal system on their lives. Originally academically trained in psychology, she later obtained her legal qualifications, becoming dual-qualified in English law while maintaining a strong commitment to Scottish family law.
Over twenty years ago, Linda completed a Master's degree in Child Forensic Studies: Psychology and Law, further strengthening her expertise in the interaction between children and the legal system. Throughout her career, she has been accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as a specialist in both family and child law. She played a key role in establishing mediation services and the local child contact centre and contributed actively as a member of the Family Law Association and Children in Scotland.
Now semi-retired and working as a Consultant to the firm she founded, Linda has stepped back from client-facing work while continuing to prepare Reports for Child Welfare Hearings and Adoptions and to act as Curator to children in court proceedings. Her commitment to her field remains unwavering and within the last year she has achieved Certification in Family Therapy, an area of expertise which brings to the fore the importance of family, and family history, in resolving issues within a family.
